Lessons in cookie cutting optimisation were learnt:



I rolled the dough out a bit too thin, so my gingerbread is really more like ginger biscuits.

After a bit of dancing around with excitement, I got down to business; Cranberry Kipferln - phase two of Operation Rolling Pin.

After my issues with the wet and sticky Linzer Sterne dough, these were a doddle. A couple of hours of scooping, scraping and cutting yielded fairly pleasing results.

It is bemusing, perplexing, and at times, frustrating. At the moment I'm having a love/hate relationship with the requirement that  all nouns must be capitalised.I put this slightly bipolar attitude down to my laziness. I resent that when I write in German I have to take care to begin all nouns with a capital letter.
